Hatha yoga is one of the most well-known and widely practiced styles of yoga in the world. Hatha Yoga is a great place to start as a beginner because the style focuses on learning proper alignment and breathing before moving into more advanced practices. However, it is a style where the level easily can be adapted accordingly as the client progresses. This style of yoga is gentle and more slow-paced. In Hatha yoga, focus is on correct posture, alignment and breathing techniques. Here, poses are usually held longer in order to focus on different techniques. You work to find a balance—strong yet relaxed in each pose.
